Accommodation and Food
Accommodation for our students is in a self-contained cottage situated next to the main house and surrounded by two acres of gardens. All lessons, meals and activities take place outside of the cottage, leaving the cottage as a place you can fully relax, chat with other students or study.
The cottage has two large single bedrooms, one double bedroom, one shared bathroom, and a kitchen/dining area. It is comfortably furnished and each bedroom has a desk for personal study. The cottage, including the bedrooms, is cleaned on a weekly basis. Please let us know if you would prefer us not to enter your bedroom during your stay.
We think our students will enjoy the independence of living apart from us, enabling them to completely retreat when they feel like it. We do, however, encourage our students to spend as much time as possible with us practising English!
Breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week are included in the course fee. Breakfast foods are provided in the cottage should you prefer to wake up a little before you begin the day in English! However, we always welcome students to have breakfast with us if they choose to. Self-catering facilities are available in the cottage should you wish at any time to prepare your own meals, but we highly recommend spending lunch and dinner with us, allowing you an opportunity to practise your English further and try some home-cooked English dishes!
Facilities

Classroom
We use an appropriately equipped classroom. It is here that structured lessons take place, but the room is also available for you outside of class hours should you wish to use it.
Computer Facilities
The computer we provide for our students is in the cottage and available to use at all times. It is fully equipped with word processing software, the Internet and Skype. We also provide printing facilities, headphones, and English Language software to help with self-study.
Wi-Fi
Should you choose to bring your own laptop, we have wireless internet access freely available in the main house and the cottage.
Study Materials
A selection of reference books, novels and other English language learning materials are available in the classroom for students to use at any time.
Garden
We have two acres of grounds comprised of a large lawn, a walled garden, and an organic vegetable garden. During the summer it is an idyllic place to spend time studying or relaxing, but even during other seasons you will benefit from being surrounded by nature, wildlife and greenery.
Laundry
Laundry bags are provided in every bedroom, collected weekly and returned to you within 24 hours. An ironing board and iron are provided in the cottage.
Television Room
Watching movies is a great way to relax whilst also improving your English. We have a television room where we host movie evenings.
